Due to human selfishness and their tendency to blame others for their own mistakes, people held the Gods responsible for their poor and foolish actions. In response, the Gods punished them by turning them to stone, seeing them as sinners who incited wars and caused suffering, leading to widespread ruin. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for humanity, with the hope that they wouldn't repeat the same mistakes again, knowing the Gods were watching from above.
